A Hometown Parade

Life is good when you live in a small town.

The parade is easy to get to and you can show up at parade time.

No sleeping out on this parade route!

The neighbor boys had chairs ready for us.

This is Sam's biggest fan.

They had bags ready to gather their candy

 

The anticipation is building... Here it comes!

 The neighboring towns come with their fire engines.

 

Even the missionaries were in the parade.

A wonderful entertaining morning.

Neighborhood Fun...

We have only lived here a year, but the little neighbor kids love to come over.

They see Sam and Riley more often and think they are the greatest, 

Katie and Jeremy come to town and add to the fun. 

The kids were trying to think of an afternoon activity and 

decided a neighborhood water balloon fight was just the thing on a hot day.

First they filled hundreds of balloons.

They divided up the teams and decided to be them against all the little kids.

They set up their sides... each got one bucket and one bucket of  balloons in the middle.

Strapped the Go Pro on Riley.

They were ready for big action.

Let the fun begin...

We had to have treats!

 It turned out to be fun!  Might need to be an annual event.

Katie made us delicious gluten free pizza for dinner and

Mike & the kids all headed to the local drive in for a double feature!
