Pioneer Day at the Ranch

We were lucky to have Steve as the Chef for the traditional Sour Dough Pancakes.

Crochet project for the weekend, a napping blanket for me.

Sidney got all decked out to go on a horse back ride.
She is a true cow gal.

Steph and Rye took the girls on a rhino ride.
They were loving it.

We opted for early smores.
Cloe had a few mosquito bites and needed a band-aid on each bite.

We had a fabulous weekend with family.
We are so grateful for the pioneers who came out west.
As a family we are grateful for Moroni AlmaBlanche Smith
who homesteaded this wonderful land we continue to enjoy.

4th of July weekend

Darbie and Kristie came for the weekend.
Saturday the boys went off riding motorcycles,
the girls went to the Farmer's market.

We always get in some game playing.
We played ranch rummy and played till we all won.
It was a superb weekend for games.

Tried a new restaurant for Breakfast on Monday.
It was yummy.

Nothing better than a baseball game and hot dogs.
Even if it was in the high 90's.

They have this group of older women who were quite the cheer squad.
Something I can aspire to.

The morning of the 4th the boys set off for a bike ride at Snow Basin.

It was a very HOT day.
We decided to go to a movie to escape the heat.
Now that we have seen this movie, you don't need to bother.
It was not that good.

We did find a Habit grill by the theater and that was tasty.

We have so many neighbors that do big fireworks it is great,
we just watch from the back yard.

A fun weekend with friends and family.

I am thankful to live in this country for the freedoms and the opportunities that we have.
