Rivalries

One of the fun things about living in Utah is the RIVALRY
between Utah and BYU.
It is fun even in our own family.
Of course Mike graduated from the U and is a devout fan.
Our kids have all attended or continue to attend BYU.
I have BYU blood from my mother and grandfather.
My dad never misses listening to a  BYU  game.
I went to the U and then a semester abroad with BYU.
so I am in the middle...

Mike and I went  to  a U basketball game and had a great time.
I can cheer for the U, it is fun when they win!

I work on the U campus at Research Park.
Everyone I work with are diehard U fans.
Most graduated from there.

I had Sam get me a BYU lanyard
for my card key to have a little diversity!

Life is good

Life is fun.

Working Girl...

I have worked at home doing accounting for over 25 years.
I have worked for PI for about 20 years.
Well PI moved to new offices.
Me and my boxes of files moved also.

I will now be working in the new office.
Can't wear the PJ's anymore while I work.
I have no kids at home, and no grandchildren YET.
So why not be a working girl.

I have a great view out my window.
The other day I saw 6 deer.
Here are two of the six scampering away.

Life is still good!

Family Theme for 2014

If I start my day off right with meaningful scripture study and heart felt prayer, then God will enable me and show me what I should do or should not do that day.

When everyone was home for Christmas,
we all heard a great talk in Church about starting the day off right.
We have adopted it for our family theme this year.

We are going to "Start the day off right."

Happy New Year!

Holiday Fun

Mike and the kids went skiing one day.
Katie and Jeremy raided Riley and Sam's ski bins for gear.

We had a good time building Gingerbread houses.

We went and saw the movie Frozen.
You are never too old for Disney.
Loved it!

The girls went and got pedicures with the Stephenson's

We found an old Soda Fountain in town and had lunch.

 We played lots of games.
The favorite seemed to be Pass the Pigs

Did a little crafting.
Katie made lots and lots of gift tags.

Christmas

We did stockings and Christmas Breakfast before Church.
I was grateful to have some helpers with my Sunbeams.
I was out of lessons so we acted out Scripture Stories.
It took a team to get them somewhat right.
The Sunbeams loved it.
The kids were good sports.
We came home from Church and put our pajama's back on.

Mike knew all of Santa's hiding places.

Katie made these, our favorite quotes!

Katie loves presents!

Christmas aftermath!

I love the post Christmas mess!

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas Eve on December 28th.
That is when Katie and Jeremy were finally in town.
We had family over for dinner and festivities.
The favorite game was the envelope game.

Mary's vision:  Luke 1:26-38
Joseph's vision:  Matthew 1:18-25
Birth of Christ:  Luke 2:1-7
Shepherds:  Luke 2:8-20
Wiseman Come:  Matthew 2:1-11

We read the whole story, thanks to Katie for her research.

We read "The Night Before Christmas" again..

Hung the stockings and went to bed.
At least Mike and I went to bed.
The kids went downstairs and watched a movie.
Love my house that there is room for all my kiddies.
