200,000 Miles

On our recent trip to Yellowstone...
The trusty old van turned 200,000 miles.
We bought the van new 8 years ago.
We have been all over in that van.
We have many memories with the van.

Even a few dents have memories.

We have the dent in the back right when I backed into a pole on Katie's High School Graduation day, and now she is in Graduate School.

We have the dings in the back bumper from when we got rear ended on the way to the Cemetery for my Mother's funeral. Mike looked at the dings and told the guy, it was an old car and we were not calling the police. Made that guy's day. The kids and I had hopped in other relative's cars and Mike did make it to the cemetery on time.

We have the dent on the front hood where Riley was learning to drive and pulled into the garage too fast, hit the a shelf and a cooler fell off of it onto the hood of the car.

My kids have all learned to drive in that van.

We have had many a road trip, many trips to the beach, several trips to Disneyland, Yellowstone and all over the west.

I love the car! It still runs great, so I still drive it.
Some day it might die and it will be sooo sad.
Until then, happy trails.

What kind of van is it? I am at about 150k in 8 years but mine is not running great so I think we may need a new one this year.

Honda Odyssey, I have loved it. I think I am done with vans since all the kidlets are not home or I would buy another one.
