Alaska Cruise

With the boys graduating it was time to celebrate and a cruise to Alaska was planned years ago.

We arrived in Seattle and Jeremy met us at the airport.
Gwen was happy to see her Daddy.

It was a bit rainy, we dropped off our luggage at the ship and headed to Pike Place Market.
We had lunch and went exploring.

We boarded the ship and had more exploring to do.

I love when we are all together!

First stop Juneau, eagles flying everywhere and then a few more eagles.

Gwen, Mike Sam and I took a little tram ride.
Gwen loved it.

At the top we had a great view of the cruise ship.

After our little Tram ride, Mike and Sam took a helicopter ride to the Mendenhall glacier
(they are standing on 1,500 feet of ice).

Katie and Jeremy went on a scenic hike.

Rye and Steph went on a hike to Mendenhall Glacier.

Gwen and I played on the ship. (well napped)

Next stop Skagway, we explored the town with Gwen.

Katie, Jeremy, Riley and Steph went to a musher camp.

Next day was scenic cruising in Glacier Bay National Park

Gwen loved the connecting balconies.
Her favorite trick was to sneak in a cabin and eat the chocolates left by the steward.

Lots of scenery, and up close to a glacier.

It was a camera and binocular day.

Next stop Ketchikan.
The planned excursion on sea planes was cancelled due to the fog.
We ended up on a city tour.

One thing I love on a cruise is the sunsets and sunrises.

They brought some musher puppies on board and Gwen loved it.

Gwen was a delight on the cruise.
It was so fun to spend so much time together.

Dinner was great together every night... Gwen was a trooper.
When she started to loose it, someone would take her on a walk.

Last stop Victoria, British Columbia.
Beautiful Gardens
Mike stayed on the ship and was on Gwen duty.

Definitely a place to go back to.

We had family pics taken, here is one of our children.

The sun was coming up when we pulled into Seattle.

Love this crew.

Sunny day when we got off the ship.
It was a fabulous time together, the scenery fantastic and not as cold as I expected.

Riley's Pic's:

Love these people!
